Perfectly Bazaar

         Pat McDuffie is the artist in resident of Perfectly Bazaar.

She has an extensive art education and continues to learn and master a variety of craft media.  Her major interests include fiber arts, glass works and clay. 

Pat has recently traveled to Nicaragua and become interested in the local artisans. The unique quality and beauty of the pottery has inspired her to add them to her web site.

A collection of handcrafted pottery from the vilage of San Juan de Oriente, Nicaragua  The majority of the artist in this village work in small family units and have done so since pre-Columbuan times.  With the use of a foot-powered wheel,traditional and contemporary designs begin to take shape.  From the geometric and nature designs to the technically challenging designs reminiscent of Escher, the artist's style and vision is expressed.

Mineral oxides ane used most often for the colors and are lead free.  These pieces and fired at Low temperatures in brick kilns and do not hold water.  Dried flowers and recommended or a plastic liner may be used.
